Belgian Dub Community Festival est un festival bruxellois entièrement dédié à la culture Soundsystem!

Forte de son expérience de 4 ans dans l’organisation de soirées Dub à l’Atelier 210 et ailleurs, la team Belgian Dub Community met cette année les petits plats dans les grands pour proposer aux fans un festival de deux jours, en indoor, en plein coeur de la capitale.
Au programme, une première soirée dédiée aux producteurs qui viendront nous présenter le meilleur de leur travail sur le mur du Roots Corner.
S’enchaînera ensuite une journée consacrée pleinement aux soundmen pendant laquelle nous accueillerons deux poids lourds de la scène internationale : Masego Soundsystem (NL) et Agobun Soundsystem (FR). The Roots Corner Soundsystem sera évidement présent pour compléter le trio! Trois murs dans l’arène pour faire trembler la ville!

Pour enrober tout ça, le massive aura a sa disposition des stands proposant nourriture, vinyles, vêtements… Une zone Chillout pour se reposer les tympans et, bien sûr, le légendaire bar de l’Atelier 210.

Les préventes sont fortement conseillées, particulièrement pour les tickets combi qui ne seront pas disponible sur place. La BDC team s’est coupée en quatre pour vous proposer la toute première édition de cet événement à un prix abordable, nous donnons donc rendez-vous à tous les Rootsmen, Bass Lovers et Stepperaddicts ces 22 et 23 juin pour un weekend qui s’annonce épique!

Numesa (uk)

Numesa are a dub roots reggae act from Bristol UK, comprised of James Pickles, Daniel Covill & Summer Aisha’Mae. Their original produced music is played out in their energetic performances with live rehearsed vocals from Summer Aisha’Mae, along with a vast vinyl selection ranging from roots killers to dub steppers.Numesa were previously known as Evermoor Sound which was formed in 2011. They have built a name and reputation for themselves in dub & reggae throughout the UK and Europe, with their passionate performances and home grown conscious music, stamped with their own unique style and sound. Always with a positive message.

Their shows and productions have lead them to feature at a large range of events, radio stations and festivals. Highlights include Rototom Sunsplash, International Dub Gathering, United Nations of Dub, Teachings in Dub 20 years of Dubkasm, Outlook Festival, Boomtown festival, SWU.FM, supporting Hollie Cook at Love of Dub, Shambala Festival, Youth Station in Belgium and a tour of Lithuania.They have also supported the legendary Jah Shaka in Marseille with Welders Hi-Fi, which has lead to Welders Records releasing the Everest P (James Pickles) production featuring Sama Renuka ‘This is Time’ on 12” vinyl in France in 2017.
Now in 2018, they just released their own first 12’’ vynil under Numesa Records.

Crucial Alphonso ls. Missing Link (BE)

Crucial Alphonso is one of Belgium’s top ranking producer, internationally known for his releases including those on his very own record label « Roots Resolute Records» always recorded and mixed in the « Roots Resolute Studio ». He played many festivals in Belgium including Smile, Reggaebus, Indian Camp, Beat Farm, and now we are very proud and happy to have him for the first Edition of the BDC Festival. Pure Roots and Culture, deep dub and steppers music from Antwerp, Belgium.
This time he will be joined by Missing Link, an all round artist, which has hosted more dances than you can count in Belgium with his conscious rub-a-dub style. Best known for his supernatural MC skills, he his also drummer and painter, with an endless inspiration when it comes to entertain the crowd.

Metta Frequencies Live Set (BE)

Metta Frequencies​ is a fusion between two reggae activists from the Belgian scene. Musicians/composers/selectors, Mighty Patch & Mighty Max are really fascinated by Reggae Dub culture and his foundations since the early’s 2000′. After many sessions, shows and festivals around Belgium and Europe during the last 10 years with their respectives musical projects, the two guys met each other across belgian reggae dances, and discovered an unexpected similar wish to push up their creative vibrations. In 2017, the Mighty duo decided to launch a new live project, mixing
original reggae-dub productions, along with live effects, and performing on stage with singers and saxophone. This musical and human experience lead them to different collaborations with traditional instruments players & reggae singers, from each side of the globe (India/Africa/Caribbean/Europe/North America…). They propose a deep live journey starting from Roots Reggae till UK, Dub Stepper with some “World” inspirations.
